Yell Robot Yell gig Lark in the Park Islington
Sunday night was a real blast I was playing drums in my band Yell Robot Yell at Lark in the Park Islington and the gig went down really well.
The journey started out meeting my good friend Joanne who was helping ou as rhode to help transport my gear from Epsom to London and it was a good journey in to London with out any reall delay.
when we got to London the fun began as we made our way from Waterloo to Islington via the long way, sorry JO for not taking us the correct route which would have saved a lot of time.
The venue was really nice and we were greeted by the welcome smell of a bbq cooking and this was warmly recieved with a good helping of burger and chips freshly cookedd for our tast buds.
I met up with the rest of the band later on and we did not get a sound check but we wre all feeling confident that it would be a good gig and that we would play well and remember our parts.
We went on third and we got a warm response which was encouraging as quite a few of our latest additionsto the fan base turned up to watch us perform. The gig went down well and we started with one of my favourite tracks Time is not Money! which was aq good opener for our gig and then we managaed to get through the set enjoying it and playing well and we got a very good reception at the end of the set. My only concern was the very strangely set up drum kit that I had to play as I was all over the place trying to cope with the interesting set up that was in front of me but that music!
All in all a great gig and an enjoyable evening and lets hope tha tthe weataher stays good for our next gig.
